2024-08-16T02:00:00-CME-001

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Fri, 16 Aug 2024 02:00:00 +0000
  • Source: S14E70
  • Region:
  • Note: Jet-like CME first seen in the East by SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2024-08-16T02:00Z as well as in later frames by SOHO LASCO C3. This event is too faint to be reliably tracked in STEREO A COR2. There is not distinct source seen for this event however small eruptive activity is seen in the vicinity of AR 3790 (S14E70) at this time as seen in SDO AIA 304.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 15 Aug 2024 19:12:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: Faint and narrow CME visible to the NE in SOHO LASCO C2 and C3. Not visible in COR2 due to a data gap in STEREO A lasting from 2024-08-15T17:53Z to 2024-08-15T22:23Z and due to the faintness of this event. Source is a small eruption seen from beyond the N/NE limb starting at 2024-08-15T18:03Z in SDO AIA 304, at an apparent latitude of N60. Small amount of ejecta seen in SDO AIA 171 starting at 18:18Z.

  • Region:
  • Note: Bright CME in the NW with the clear source a beautiful "loop" eruption on/just behind the NW limb starting around 2024-08-15T09:30Z as seen in AIA 304/171 and SUVI 304.

  • Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
  • Start: Thu, 15 Aug 2024 03:12:00 +0000
  • Source:
  • Region:
  • Note: Extremely faint CME seen to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and STEREO A COR2. Exact source is uncertain, but is likely associated with the continuous field line movement seen on the west limb in SDO AIA 171/193.

  • Source: S10E80
  • Region:
  • Note: Extremely faint and narrow CME seen to the E in STEREO A COR2 and SOHO LASCO C2. Extremely faint in C3. Source is opening field lines on the E limb seen in SDO AIA 171/193 and GOES SUVI 284 starting around 2024-08-14T23:30Z, from AR 13790 (S10E80).
